About New Height Books
New Height Books serves as a comprehensive collection of Romantic Realist Literature and Rational Nonfiction. Our purpose is to find authors and books (explicitly Objectivist or not) that meet Ayn Rand's definition of Romantic Realism in any branch of literature. At New Height Books both those new to Romantic Realism who are looking for titles beyond Ayn Rand, and those who, like us, canvas bookstores and libraries searching for another heroic story can find what they are looking for.
While fiction is our focus we also seek to promote any nonfiction that promotes a rational, pro-man perspective, whether that be in history, philosophy, business or any other branch.
We also hope to foster a community of readers who can review books from an egoistic perspective, and share with others a book's value. As such visitors may create accounts with New Height Books and review books they have read, as well as suggest new books to be added to our library (members are given credit for both their reviews and their book submissions).
What is Romantic Realism?
"Romantic Realism" is a term coined by Ayn Rand in her nonfiction work, The Romantic Manifesto, and it refers to art in its proper form: portraying the world "as it could and should be." You can learn more about Romantic Realism on the FAQ page.
For more information please read our FAQ, submission guidelines, terms and conditions, or feel free to contact us.
Behind the Curtain
New Height Books is owned and operated by the founders of Rich and Clever Web Services, Rich Knitter and Chris Davis, and was first conceived and built by Chris Davis in 2005 as nothing more than a convienent place to keep the growing list of Romantic Realist literature he was compiling. New Height Books is just getting off to a new start, and plans are in the works for future sites of similar theme.
